About Us
Our Mission
For over 35 years our family has strived to put fourth classic New Hampshire dining experience. We offer homestyle cook'n with fresh ingredients at fair prices.
Our History
In 1987 our family of John, Susan, and son Christian established The Eggshell Restaurant in Loudon, NH. On that same day we made a whopping 14 dollars total and were visited by a unique friend. A deer crashed through our front glass door and into the wall causing a scene and quite the scare. As a result, there is a framed hole in the wall which we took as a sign of good fortune.
A few years later we opened The Eggshell 2 on Manchester Street in Concord, NH. After a few years in Concord we made the decision to close Eggshell 2 in order to open up Country Cook'n at the Circle in Epsom, NH. This new location was bigger and gave us the opportunity to serve more people at a great location on the traffic circle.
We opened Country Cook'n at the Lakeside in Gilford, NH. This location boast a beautiful mural of Lake Winnipesaukee on the main wall. Most recently we opened The Weirs Diner in Laconia, NH which is right on the Weirs Beach Canal. This location has boating access at our newly remodeled dock!
